Naturopath Consultation

A Natural Equine Health consultation is extremely important when trying to explain a particular issue an owner may have with a horse.

It is often the case that when a description is made and then passed on verbally or via email that the recieved description may be pictured quite differently. This is one reason that it is favourable to have a consultation in person.

On arrival, the environmental surroundings will be taken into account as well as the pasture types and availability. Sue will ask a variety of questions regarding your horse's health, diet, work load and training and overall attitude at various times. The overall condition of the horse will be thoroughly checked before a hands on examination takes place.

Starting from the front, Sue will check the horse for dental problems such as sharp points and discomfort, followed by a muscular check, all of these things can be detrimental to your horse's health.

Sue then spends time with the owner discussing diet, herbal medicine (depending on what is required) and various exercises and training which would be beneficial for the horse.

Although Natural Equine Health has a range of broad based herbal formulas, we believe that it is important to never lose sight of the individuality of every horse. For this reason, Sue often formulates individual blends which suit the particular needs of different horses.
